Canadian Olympian Kevin Sullivan Headlines Men's Filed

2005 U.S. 1500m Bronze Medalist, Amy Mortimer Joins U.S. 10K National Champion, Katie McGregor in a hot womens field in New Hampshire's fastest road race.

Londonderry, NH. -- The race directors of the Millennium Mile are pleased to announce that Amy Mortimer will be competing in the 7th Annual Millennium Mile (MM7). Amy joins fellow Reebok professional athletes; 2-time Olympian Kevin Sullivan, and US 10K National Champ, Katie McGregor as a guest of the Millennium Mile.

Amy Mortimer can boast of some very impressive running credentials in only her third year as a professional runner. In June of 2005, she earn a bronze medal in the 1500 meters at the 2005 U.S. National Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 4:07 (approx a 4:26 mile). Earlier in 2005, Amy represented the United States at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in St Galmier, France where she was a member of the team that earned a bronze medal. In 2004, she finished ninth in the 1,500m at the U.S. Olympic Trials. As a collegiate at Kansas State, Amy was a 12-time NCAA All-American and a 5-time Big 12 Conference champion. Currently, Amy Mortimer lives and trains in the Boston metro area and is coached by Boston College assistant track coach, John Mortimer- no relation.

About the Millennium Mile:
The Millennium Mile is a point-to-point, downhill, 1-mile road race that takes place in Londonderry, New Hampshire on Saturday December 31, 2005 at 2:00pm. In the six year history of the Millennium Mile, there have been 16 sub 4-minute miles run and participants have ranged from age 3 to 79 years young. The Millennium Mile and it's sponsors could not be more proud than to add Kevin Sullivan to its list of world class competitors.
